Makes are ranked by reported fault volume, not alphabetically, so the manufacturers with the most community data — and therefore the most useful pages for diagnosing a problem — appear first within each country group.

How is this list organised?
Makes are grouped by country of origin, then sorted by reported fault volume within MyCarFault's database — the brands with the most owner-submitted data appear first in each group, since those pages tend to be the most useful for diagnosing a real problem.

What does "No reports yet" mean?
It means the make exists in our vehicle database but no fault case has been approved for it yet. Currently 35 of 37 tracked makes have at least one approved report — the rest still have working make and model pages ready to receive submissions. You can be the first to report one.

Can I filter faults by year and engine?
Yes. Once you open a specific model page, you can filter its fault list by model year, and each individual fault entry shows the reported engine code and mileage where available.

Is the fault data verified by mechanics?
Fault reports start as owner submissions. Repairs can carry a mechanic-verified badge when confirmed by an independent garage or authorised service centre, and each repair shows a confidence rating based on driver votes and corroborating reports.
