Integra DC2
1993 – 2001
The Honda Integra DC2 Type R is widely regarded as one of the finest front-wheel-drive driver cars ever produced. The B18C Spec R engine in the Type R produces 197bhp from 1.8 litres — achieved without a turbocharger — through Honda VTEC technology, individual throttle bodies and meticulous engine preparation. The limited-slip differential, close-ratio gearbox, Recaro seats and stripped interior created a focused driving tool. The championship white paint and red Type R badges are iconic. Standard GS-R models with the B18C1 engine offer 170bhp at a more accessible price point. The DC2 is now a serious appreciating classic — unmodified, low-mileage examples are increasingly rare and valuable. Condition is everything when buying.

Civic EG
1991 – 1995
The Honda Civic EG series, produced from 1991 to 1995, is one of the most significant performance Civics of the VTEC era. The EG introduced the B16A2 VTEC engine to European markets — a 1.6-litre unit producing 160bhp that revolutionised the hot hatch class with its stratospheric 8500rpm redline and characterful VTEC engagement. The EG is available as three-door and five-door hatchback. The VTi and SiR variants with the B16 engine are the most desirable. The EG Civic is now firmly established as a modern classic, with strong values and an active global community. Originality is increasingly prized — unmodified examples command significant premiums. Common concerns include cam belt condition, VTEC solenoid maintenance and rust around rear subframe mounting points.
