The E65/E66 rear suspension uses an integral link geometry. The rubber bushes in the rear links and subframe wear at high mileage, causing tyre wear, vague handling and knocking. A full rear suspension bush refresh is a significant job but transforms the handling of worn examples. Should be checked on any E65 above 80,000 miles.
