🟢 Low Priority

Premature battery capacity loss on the Nissan Leaf Mk2 40kWh model following regular use of 50kW DC rapid charging. The Leaf Mk2 lacks an active thermal management system for the battery. The battery cells heat up during rapid charging and without cooling the cells degrade faster than on thermally managed EVs. Limiting DC rapid charging to maximum twice per week and charging to 80% rather than 100% significantly slows capacity degradation.
