🔴 Fix Immediately

Rattling noise from the engine on cold start on the SEAT Leon Mk3 with the 1.2 TSI (CBZB/CJZB) engine. This shares the VW Group 1.2 TSI timing chain tensioner weakness affecting all VAG cars with this engine. The fault is particularly prevalent on vehicles where the oil change interval has exceeded 15,000 km. Using 5W-30 fully synthetic oil and changing at 10,000 km intervals significantly extends chain life. If the noise persists for more than 10 seconds after a cold start, urgent inspection is required.
