BMW 730d Air Suspension Compressor Failure
The air suspension compressor on E65/E66 pumps up the air springs on demand. Continuous operation due to leaking springs burns out the compressor motor. The compressor is located in the boot and is accessible. Replacement costs £300-600. Always trace and fix air leaks before fitting a new compressor or it will burn out again.
