Diesel smell from the engine bay and occasional rough running on the Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 CRDi. The injector copper sealing washers harden with repeated heat cycles and allow diesel to seep past the injector body. This can cause diesel contamination of the engine oil. Replace all four injector copper washers simultaneously. Do not reuse old washers. Torque injectors to the specified 25 Nm after replacing seals.
