🟡 Porsche Cayenne coolant pipe failure — Cayennetastrophe

The Porsche Cayenne V6 and V8 models have plastic coolant distribution pipes that run under the intake manifold. These pipes crack with age causing sudden and complete coolant loss. The repair requires full intake manifold removal and is labour intensive. This is often called the Cayennetastrophe by Porsche specialists. All Cayenne models from 2003-2010 should have these pipes proactively replaced — the repair costs around £800-1500 but prevents a £5000+ engine replacement.
