Honda CR-V 2.2 i-DTEC diesel with rough running, misfires or EML. Injector faults are common on this engine at higher mileages. This fault code is stored when the engine control unit detects a specific fault condition. Common causes include sensor failures, wiring faults, and component wear. Always read additional fault codes before replacing parts — multiple codes together provide a clearer diagnosis. Clear the code after repair and test drive to confirm the fault does not return.

✅ FixedInjector 3 replaced and coded — rough running fixed
Dealer diagnosed injector 3 as the culprit after running injector balance test. Replaced and coded the new injector to the ECU. Smooth as silk now. £380 all in at Honda dealer. Make sure they code the new injector — won't run right without it.
Parts replaced: Fuel injector (cylinder 3)

✅ FixedInjector return pipe split — cheap fix for the symptoms
Rough idle and slight smoke on startup. Before condemning an injector I checked the return fuel pipes — the small rubber sections had perished and one had split. New pipe kit was £22. Symptoms gone completely. Worth checking these first on the 2.2 i-DTEC.
