🟢 Low Priority

The Ioniq 5 fails to charge at the rated 220kW peak speed on 800V ultra-fast chargers. Charging speed is reduced to 50kW or less. The fault is often caused by the vehicle battery temperature being outside the optimal charging window. Pre-conditioning the battery via the navigation system (setting a charging station as destination) brings the battery to optimal temperature. Some early units had a battery management system software fault — a dealer update resolves this.
