Red/brown DSG fluid dripping from under the gearbox. The external mechatronic seal on the DQ250 6-speed DSG is a common failure on all VAG group cars including the Skoda Octavia. The seal deteriorates with age and heat cycling. The repair is straightforward for a DSG-experienced mechanic and takes 2-3 hours. Always use Skoda/VW G 052 182 DSG fluid — using ATF or other transmission fluids destroys the clutch pack rapidly.
